BI Claims Consulting

BI Claims can be difficult to compile and pursue, whether against Insurers or third parties.

BI Claims against Insurers typically flow from physical damage events to assets insured that bring about a reduction in sales and a loss of Insurance Gross Profit and/or result in Increased Costs to deploy mitigation action.  There are a limited number of non-damage events where BI Claims can also be pursued against Insurers where certain items of coverage exist in the BI Policy, although these tend to be somewhat restrictive.  I can advise on this front with receipt of information about the specific event you have encountered.

BI Claims against third parties may relate to what would ordinarily be an insurance claim but for the level of excess or deductible, where another party is at fault and can be pursued directly.  Alternatively, they could be against another party that brought about a reduction in sales and a loss of Insurance Gross Profit and/or resulted in Increased Costs to deploy mitigation action.  An example of this is where a water or gas utility company has installed roadworks to undertake water works directly alongside or near to the affected business premises, where the BI claim is claimable under statute.

With extensive experience in dealing with BI Claims, I offer a service of BI Claims assessment, preparation, quantification and negotiation at sensible prices.

The work I undertake enables the BI claim to be professionally prepared and pursued, drawing on know-how and a range of prior relationships with Loss Adjusters and Forensic Accountants often engaged by Insurers or Third Parties.
